其紫鄙廼俤

江戸時代後期にベストセラーとなったものも多い絵草紙は、物語と浮世絵師による絵を合わせた娯楽本。草双紙とも呼ばれたこの“絵も楽しむ小説”は、5丁1巻（木版摺した5枚を2つに折って重ね、糸で綴じたもの）を基本に上下巻2冊で1編とし、幕末ごろには何編にもわたって出版されました。『其紫鄙廼俤』は、数名の戯作者と絵師によって刊行された人気作。この2編は、晩年は戯作者に専念した浮世絵師の溪斎英泉と、三代豊国（国貞）によるもの。美しい着物姿の美人図として十分楽しめます。弘化4年（1847）作。
